Escapada Lingüística is an immersive Spanish language retreat organized by Linguallogy Language Academy.
Over the course of an unforgettable weekend, you'll combine structured language learning, real-world speaking practice, cultural experiences, and meaningful connections with people who share your passion for Spanish.

Where You'll Stay
The next retreat starts on July17 in the Penedès region, Sant Pau d'Ordal.
July accommodation:
• One historic 12th-century estate, featuring 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. The property combines traditional architecture with modern comfort and offers spacious rooms, relaxing common areas, terraces, and spectacular views of the surrounding vineyards.
October accomodation:
• The same historic 12th-century estate with 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
• An additional charming and comfortable house with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.Participants stay in a beautifully restored historic Catalan estate dating back to the 12th century.
A Typical Weekend
Day 1: Arrival & Connection
Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed with drinks and a light lunch.
After settling in and meeting the other participants, we'll begin our first Spanish session.
The evening includes dinner, conversation, and relaxed social activities designed to help everyone feel comfortable speaking Spanish from the very beginning.
Day 2: Learning & Discovery
The day begins with optional morning stretching and meditation.
After a healthy breakfast, we dive into an interactive Spanish session tailored to your level.
Later, we'll visit a local winery, where you'll learn about the production of wine and cava before enjoying a tasting experience.
Following lunch and some free time, we'll meet again for another Spanish session before finishing the day with dinner, music, conversation, and a memorable evening around the fireplace.
Day 3: Spanish & Adventure
After breakfast and our final class, we'll head out for a horseback ride through the vineyards.
It's one of the highlights of the retreat and a truly unforgettable way to experience the beauty of the region.
After lunch, we say our goodbyes—usually wishing the weekend had lasted longer.
Who Leads the Retreat?
My name is Ilya Gerasimets.
I am a linguist, philologist, accredited DELE examiner (B1–C2), and language educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience.
I have lived and worked in Spain since 2010 and founded Linguallogy over a decade ago.
Throughout my career, I have helped hundreds of students learn Spanish more effectively by combining practical methodology, linguistic expertise, and insights from language acquisition research.
The retreat reflects everything I've learned about what truly helps people start speaking a language with confidence.
Meet Our Teaching Team
Our teachers are carefully selected professionals who combine academic expertise with extensive teaching experience.
All instructors:
• Are native Spanish speakers (except Ilya)
• Hold degrees in linguistics, philology, or language-related fields
• Have at least five years of professional teaching experience
